Arkeivvia’s journey with Team Up began as a young participant at the age of 11. By the time she was 13, Arkeivvia began volunteering at Team Up’s inaugural summer camp, where she worked with 2nd graders as a small group leader. Her dedication and passion for making a difference continued to shine as she volunteered each summer, eventually earning a paid internship through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) at the age of 16. As a high school junior, Arkeivvia graduated to a full mentorship role, leading the PreK group and inspiring younger participants with her resilience and determination. Today, Arkevvia is a mother of four, balancing family responsibilities, a job and continuing her education. Just recently, Arkeivvia achieved a significant milestone by earning her Bachelor’s degree in business, a testament to her relentless pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. Her plans to further her education in early childhood education underscore her commitment to making a difference in the lives of young children. Arkeivvia’s determination knows no bounds. With her education, she dreams of opening a daycare center for children.
